Our council have decided to charge us business rates for the part of the house we use for the pre-school, even though these three rooms become part of our family home after the four hour term-time session. They are, however, kindly reducing our band for council tax, but unfortunately the financial gains do not compensate for the business rates bill! What do other owners do?
