Guest MaryEMac Posted November 15, 2006 Share Posted November 15, 2006 I just had to write about our latest fundraiser. Tonight the playgroup held a 'Prize Bingo' and we raised £500 for the funds. At the moment we have a brand new committee and only 20 children on the books, so it was a great effort. The village hall was full of friends , family and people from the village. All the prizes were donated by local and national firms so we really have only had to pay for the hire of the hall and the cost of envelopes and stamps. Unfortunately I didn't win anything but my daughter in law and her friend did. There was a great sense of relief at the end, that it had been a success. The money raised will pay for a coach and entry to a pantomime for the children and staff, and if there's any left I'm sure that I can find something we need.
