Preserving Leaves With Glycerine

Recommended Posts

Can anyone remember how to preserve leaves with glycerine? I seem to remember you dilute the glycerine and bathe the leaves. The results were good but it was all such a long time ago... :o

Sorry, can't help with that one, but if you dry the leaves they keep really well once laminated and the colours stay quite vibrant.

We have laminated ours in the past and they have worked really well.

Someone once told me to rub hand cream into leaves before they start drying out to preserve them. If we had time to do that wouldn't we all have lovely soft hands!!!

I remember preserving leaves with glycerine and the results are stunning. You do soak the stems in a glycerine dilution and they just soak it all up and stay very very glossy.
