sharonash Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Just been told that we have a parents eve next week- great aye! How often do you have parents evenings?  Does anyone have any sort of parents evening proforma and help in what I can write./example  Thanks so much x
Sue R Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 We have them twice a year - next one coming up in a couple of weeks. We just do a paragraph on each of the learning areas and a general comment. Parents read these just before their appointment time then we can discuss them or anything else parent wants for the 10 minutes of their appointment. Â That's the theory!
Deb Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 To try to make meetings with parents less formal and more regular, we set up a system where parents could book a 10 minute appointment with their key worker at the end of a session once a half-term or term to see what their child has been doing. We send out regular reminders in newsletters but the take up is not great, just the usual parents. Â At the end of July, we do a report under the six areas of development to parents of children leaving to go to school the following September.
