Sue R
We have them twice a year - next one coming up in a couple of weeks. We just do a paragraph on each of the learning areas and a general comment. Parents read these just before their appointment time then we can discuss them or anything else parent wants for the 10 minutes of their appointment. That's the theory! Deb
To try to make meetings with parents less formal and more regular, we set up a system where parents could book a 10 minute appointment with their key worker at the end of a session once a half-term or term to see what their child has been doing. We send out regular reminders in newsletters but the take up is not great, just the usual parents. At the end of July, we do a report under the six areas of development to parents of children leaving to go to school the following September.
