Progression In Sand And Water Activities

Is there such a thing in the FS as progression in sand and water activities, as someone mentioned this to me`the other day!

well children of different ages play differntly in there dont they?Our little ones just want to pour and fill and dig where as our older ones love to play with other things in there too!

Have you seen the Sally Featherstone books 'Baby and Beyond' - I loved the messy play one which showed how you might give children experiences from baby to FS using eg. sand or ice or dough
