has anyone got any simple ideas of things the children could make i relation to topic ourselves.

Vehicles to get 'ourselves' from one place to another (poly m, baubuilda)

Houses/pet homes/garages for our cars (duplo, lego, bricks)

People (sticklebricks)

Vehicles to help us (e.g. fire engine)- mobilo

As we are concentrating on healthy eating at the moment we plan to design and make lunch boxes next week and also make healthy packed lunches to share.

What about jointed people, joints moving with split pins? Making salt dough or model magic fruit and veg for a fruit stall, 3D houses (but don't step on the toes of year 1 - it's their dt topic!)
