Just getting to grips with the new terms planning, am planning a topic on teddy bears, its years since I have done this as a topic, does anyone have any examples of planning they would be willing to share.

I have never done this topic either. On the TES resource bank there is some medium term plans one of which is for bears.

I suppose it is ok to post a link as they are freely available

You might need to register which is free to view things in the resource bank.

If you want that plan go into the Resource Bank on Tes, select Early Years and search for medium term plans. It is the first plan saved by the first poster.
