Hello,

I have made a bespoke framework for my staff to use to tag in the assessment area of an observation so it reflect the new EYFS early learning goals, however it does not allow me to do summative assessments unless I am using's tapestry's own assessment framework - Early years foundation stage 2017 - 20.  I was wondering if there is a way to make summative assessments possible when using a  bespoke framework.

Hi, Nicola.

Thanks for your question.

We are currently working on a Summative Assessment screen which will be compatible with your bespoke frameworks. Would you like us to update you directly when that comes out?

I appreciate you may have added your bespoke framework for a specific reason but just so you know we do have as assessment framework for the new ELGs already. It's called ELG 2021 and you can enable it from Control Panel > Settings > Assessments. This frameworks feeds directly into the EYFSP screen which can be accessed from Tracking > ELG 2021.

If it's the new EYFS framework you mean, then you can read more about how we've incorporated that into Tapestry in these guides:

  1. Setting up EYFS 2021
  2. Using the new EYFS 2021 framework

I hope that helps! Let me know if you need anything else :)
