We are seeking to appoint a 1:1 Early Years Key Worker to join our team from September 2023. The role will involve supporting the learning needs, emotional support and social interaction of a pre-school child, on a one to one basis. Prior experience of working with children with special educational needs is desirable. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with passion and drive to support a child with special educational needs as their 1:1 Key Person. The successful candidate will be working 30 hours per week, as part of the team in the main pre-school room. This is a rewarding role, playing a huge part in supporting child development preparing for school readiness. Our community pre-school is based in Kempston, Bedfordshire, offering sessional childcare to 2, 3 and 4 year olds. We are a dedicated, supportive setting, looking for the right person to further enhance our team. We are looking for: · An enthusiastic, well-motivated and committed individual. · Someone with a real passion to make a difference every day. · Previous experience of working with children with additional needs, ideally on a 1:1 basis. · Good effective communication skills. · Someone with a calm, patient approach to supporting the needs of children. · Willingness to learn and get involved. · Good literacy and numeracy skills. · Knowledge and/or experience of the EYFS and IEP’s. · Ability to work alongside an established team and able to undertake IEP targets provided by SENCO We can offer you: · Term time only position, with pro rata monthly payments, all year round. · Working pattern; Monday – Friday 9am-3pm. · Excellent support from our dedicated team. · A commitment to ongoing professional development. · A setting committed to staff well-being.
