JackTapestrySupport Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 This month (January 2021) we have the APPG for Childcare and Early Education (CEE) campaign to celebrate early years educators and the hugely important work they do. The campaign aims to raise the profile of the work done by early years professionals, to ensure politicians and policy makers understand the vital role the early years workforce has in children’s lives and futures, and to gain the respect our early years educators deserve. The campaign week will run from 24th-28th January 2022 – keep a look out for the hashtag #WeAreEducators As part of this week, the APPG are inviting educators and providers from the sector to record a short video clip talking about their role and the vital work that they do in providing education to the under-5s and support to their families. The video should be a maximum of a minute long and will be shared across social media. If your video is longer than a minute, please provide a sound bite and link to where it is uploaded (e.g. YouTube/website). Your video would need to arrive by the evening of Sunday 16th January - if you have questions or would like to send us any content, you can email @Childcare and early education APPG or you can tweet us @APPGEarlyYears. Some of the things you may want to talk about in the video might be: · Examples of the impact on the life chances of the children you work with · The importance of retaining and progressing staff · Celebrating the important role you and the sector play in the lives of under-5s and their families We hope you will get involved and join us in celebrating and emphasising the crucial role that early years educators provide. Also, if you use Twitter, feel free to join in with our Twitter Storm! This takes place at 11am on Monday 24th of January to kick the week off. If you’d like to participate, just tweet the following at that time on Monday the 24th: "I am supporting #ChildcareandEarlyEducationWeek to celebrate the work of early years educators who do their utmost to ensure all children have the best start in life #WeAreEducators”
