Marion Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Well my kids just like to mix it but we also build walls (and knock them down before they set) You can add things like straw and sawdust, use moulds to create solid shapes / objects even try sculpting.

Marion Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 found this recipe for 'putty' 2 teaspoons Borax (from chemist) 80ml water (1/3 cup) 2 cups pva 500ml water (13/4 cups) mix borax and 80ml water until completely dissolved mix glue with 500 ml water add borax mixture and stir It will start to clump together keep mixing and kneading until a ball of putty is produced store in zip loc bag or air tight container will keep about 2 weeks mud pies 2 cups clean mud (soil based compost or sieved garden soil) 2 cups sand 1/2 cup salt water wooden spoons mix some white glue in the mud pie mixture if you want it to last longer
