Pre-school Manager - Petworth

Kaleidoscope Pre-school in Petworth has a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, dedicated and motivated Setting Manager to join our vibrant, caring and friendly team. 

Kaleidoscope has been an integral part of the Petworth community for nearly 30 years and has a strong reputation for delivering quality, affordable childcare.  We are a Committee led, charitable setting. Our rural pre-school is based in a beautiful purpose designed building with two gardens and a large open plan interior.  We offer sessional term time care for 2-5 year olds. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the setting.

Salary:  Between £12 and £15 per hour depending on Qualifications and Experience.  Includes Holiday Pay and Pension Scheme.

Hours:  Approximately 30 hours per week term time, to be agreed.

The successful candidate will have;

·         Evidence of the ability to meet the Job Description (Outlined in the Application Pack)

·         A friendly, calm approach

·         Excellent communication skills with staff, parents and other childcare professionals

·         A passion for working with children and proven keyperson experience

·         A minimum of Level 3 early years qualification as defined by the National College for Teaching and Leadership

·         Two or more years of managerial experience

·         A dedicated, organised and flexible work ethic

·         An ability to lead, motivate and inspire colleagues

·         Consistently high expectations and standards

·         A commitment to professionalism and a comprehensive working knowledge of confidentiality

·         A passion to embrace the aims and vision of our pre-school and how it can develop.

·         A current working knowledge of the EYFS and OFSTED registration and inspection criteria

·         An ability to implement the highest possible standards of safety and safeguarding, SEND and welfare requirements.

·         A commitment to outworking our setting’s Policies and Procedures (as outlined in the Application pack and on our website.)
