Guest
Not much of an extension on what you've already said, but we've done bike races, & racing toy vehicles down a ramp.
Marion
We did ordinal numbers when we did Chinese New Year and ordered the animals 'the rat was 1st the ox was 2nd ect ( not much help at this time of the year I know but maybe another story could be adapted to the same purpose) Also we use ordinal language when we line up. Role play people on the bus stop. Board games who has 1st turn to throw the dice who is 2nd? carriages on a train who is in the first carriage etc
Guest
You could use Kippers Basket-I know it doesn't actually use ordinal numbers in the text but you could talk about what he throws out first, second etc. Linda
