Print an area of learning

We would really like to be able to download and print one area of learning to use for moderation. I know you can find observations by area by using the Development Matters tool, but it is still not easy to produce a document that shows just one area of learning.

Can you clarify what data you want to see? Is it attainment or progress or number of assessments made? or something else? - if you give me a bit more information I can point you in the right direction.

Sorry I wasn't clear. What we want to be able to do is download all obs for an specific area of learning. So when we export Learning Journeys to PDFs we would like to be able to specify an area of learning to export. This would really help us as we have cluster meetings where we moderate one area of learning at a time. At the moment the only way I can do it is to use the Development Matters section to search for obs by area. But then you have to export each obs to PDF separately - unless I am doing something wrong!

I would be really interested in this too. Our subject leaders only want to see their areas (i.e. reading, writing or maths) and find it hard to navigate the learning journeys to find these.

There is way to do this on Tapestry now. :1b

 

You just need to export a child's learning journal by following this tutorial here, on the export page in the 'Assessment Options' you can then select 'Only include observations that have the following assessments'. You can then further refine it by assessment framework, area and aspect.
