Classroom Manager, Dauxwood Pre-School - Billingshurst, W. Sussex

We are a committee run setting looking for a new Classroom Manager to start September.

 

Open term-time only, we cater for up to 24 children per session, aged between 2 and 5 years old.

 

Essential criteria

 

· A minimum of Level 3 early years qualification as recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority

· A GCSE grade C or above in English, Maths and Science

· A minimum of 3 years’ experience of running a pre-school setting

· Experience of supervising at least 3 members of staff

· Good organisational, time management and communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team

· Committed to high standards in all areas of learning

· Sound understanding of child development and the needs of individual children

· Ability to plan and implement a pre-school curriculum that meets the requirements of the Free Entitlement Grant

· Ability to work with parents and to encourage their involvement to ensure the full integration of all children

· Be passionate about the vision for the pre-school and how it can develop

· Ability to lead and motivate the staff and volunteer team

· Commitment to equal opportunities, inclusion and understanding of religious and cultural diversity

· Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues

· Ability to write clear reports and record keeping

 

 

Desirable criteria

 

· Understanding of the Revised Early Years Foundation Stage

· Specialist knowledge in arts, crafts, drama and/or music in an early years environment
