P/T Preschool Assistant, Level 2/3, Solihull (B92)

Hours: 9:00 – 12:30 Monday and Friday only (more hours may be available at short notice).

Salary: dependent on qualifications and experience.

Hampton-in-Arden Preschool is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team member to join its setting from after February half-term 2015. The Preschool is a small setting, which is registered for children aged 2 - 5 years, and is committee run.

As a qualified Preschool Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that all children receive stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age, stage of development and individual needs.

Usual duties will include supporting the management team in the planning and delivery of the EYFS curriculum; ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all children in the setting; taking on a Key Person role.

You must have excellent people and communication skills as you will liaise with parents, staff, committee and other professionals from outside agencies.

You will need to have the following qualifications/experience:

· NVQ Level 2 or 3 / NNEB or a nationally recognised level two or three early years qualification.

This position is subject to a DBS check.

Desirable qualifications/experiences:

· Safeguarding training (Solihull LSCB Level 1 minimum) / valid paediatric first aid / food hygiene certificate, or willingness to train.

· Willingness to train to Level 3 if not already.
