Guest Posted November 23, 2005 Share Posted November 23, 2005 Hi We still do a baseline that involves some of the green stepping stones for PSED, CLL and MD it is only a rough guide and we use are own judgement as well to set targets for the children. Hopefullly it will be phased out next year when we start moderating internally however the nursery profiles are a bit unpredictable at the minuite so thats why we use them. hope this helps probably not! Guest Posted November 24, 2005 Share Posted November 24, 2005 Not sure about Baseline, but in our nursery we assess along similar lines to the stepping stones. We look at things like, do they separate from carer, can they manage clothes, are they toilet trained, which colour/numbers/shapes do they know, do they join in with art (and other specific) activities.
