Guest Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Hi, I would like to be able to access my Pinterest boards at school to share ideas with colleagues. Any ideas how I can bypass the school's filtering system, especially as Pinterest is so linked to Facebook? Also, can you save You tube clips on your stick and then view them at school? Thanks
Guest Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Hi Edlee, I don't know about Pinterest, but I know when people wanted access to hotmail at school we just had to ask the IT technician and he did something on the server that 'ok-ed' the website so we could access it, so I guess this is possible for Pinterest too, but I don't know how, sorry. As for You tube, if you download Real Player, which is free, when you scroll over the video it gives you the option to download it. You can then save it to a memory stick and play it like any other video file on any computer. If the download option dosn't automatically appear when you scroll over the video, go into the settings in Real Player and enable this function. It's really easy and very useful when you can't access youtube at school! x
prowlerchick Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Hi Edlee As RosieC said if you have an IT technician they can ensure that pinterest is ok on your school network however I don't know the implications for the links to facebook? I don't link mine or post onto facebook, I did it through my email instead but I know it can be linked. I love pinterest it is a fab resource for ideas so I hope you are able to use it to your advantage!
