With the cook from our nursery, I am looking to review all the recipes we use for the children's lunches. We needs to reduce ingredients costs, have simple meals so we can reduce preparation time and still make sure they are healthy - a tall order! I wonder if any of you have any favorite recipes you would be willing to share? Many thanks

Our kids love spaghetti Bolognaise and chicken curry.

Chicken and mushroom pie is also a winner.

Does anyone at your setting get Teach Nursery magazine? They've got a section on nutrition each edition which is a very good read and there's been a few with recipe ideas in too.

Yes,we are same as caffinefreak. Lots of pasta dishes, our children love fish pie, vegetable bakes etc. all easy to do.

We use a lot of recipes from NDNA cookbook.

We don't scrimp on ingredients but try to use the time for our cook efficiently so ...maybe batch cooking/veg preparation etc so then some meals are easy to be ready to put in the oven...
