Rpebbles Posted February 27, 2014 Share Posted February 27, 2014 Applicants must hold a NVQ 3 or equivalent, with proven experience in leadership the early years sector and nursery setting. Applicants must be able to meet the needs of the individual child through the Early Years Foundation Stage, including understanding the role of being a key person, how to plan accordingly for each child, whilst evidencing their development phases through their 'Learning Stories'. You must be able to lead a team and be able to use your initiative when required, making good use of time management. Excellent communication skills are essential, as close working relationships between the setting, home, and with other professionals is of paramount importance. All applicants must hold at least a grade 'C' in English, Maths and Science and have up to date Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and knowledge of the Ofsted standards. SENCO trained would be desirable but not essential. Roche Pebbles is open from 8.00am - 6.00pm for 50 weeks of the year, for children aged from 3 months to 5 years (and up to 11 years during after-school and holiday clubs). 75 children are currently on role. This current position is a full time contract, initially for approximately 25 hours per week, with a view to increasing the hours and sessions as from September 2014.
