Nursery School

My small friendly Nursery School in Battersea requires a Teacher/SENCO to start in January 2014

Requirements

• We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic person who is warm, friendly and a team player and who has a real passion for working with young children.
• You must have at least a Level 3 qualification in childcare.
• You must also have experience of Ofsted inspections and requirements.
• Knowledge and experience of the EYFS is essential as it will be your responsibility to ensure the EYFS framework is delivered and met at all times.
• A SENCO qualification is preferred but if the candidate is a good fit for the nursery we are willing to provide training.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• A first aid qualification is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• We need someone for 5 mornings and Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, term time only. You must also be available to work 4 holiday clubs each of 3 days each year.
• You must be a hands on person who is willing to help with setting up and clearing away of the nursery each day.
• Hours are approximately 8am each morning until 1.30pm 3 days a week and 8am to 3.30pm 2 days each week, but you need to be flexible.
• You would be the SENCO for the nursery and responsible for keeping files up to date and liaising with keyworkers, the parents, the council and other relevant partners to ensure that each child reaches their full potential.
• You will be responsible for key children, completing observations and maintaining their files, report writing and working in partnership with their parents.
