Guest Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Hi - is there anybody out there that uses the Maths Makes Sense scheme in their school - who would be willing to share an example of the short term / weekly planning they have for Reception?
Susan Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I dont do it, but I do know someone who did. It was very prescriptive and actually left the children with big holes in their learning--SATs results at KS1 deteriorated.
Guest Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I have heard that it has some good bits but some of it is pretty bad and leaves children not really grasping maths concepts.
