Day Nursery Team Leader

16 hours per week

£6,445 - £7,006 per annum (pro rata to £15,105 – £16,420 per annum)

 

This post requires Enhanced DBS clearance (willingness to submit an application and be able to pass)

 

We are seeking to appoint a team leader to supervise a small team of staff within the 3-5 year age group of children in accordance with Ofsted, Health and Safety requirements and other applicable legislation.

 

The successful candidate will work with parents and staff to ensure that the nursery provides high quality childcare and education, ensuring a safe environment and opportunities that enable all children to realise their full potential.

 

You will hold the NNEB, NVQ level 3 or equivalent level 3 qualification in childcare; with relevant post qualification experience with proven leadership skills, in a nursery setting or similar, along with basic computer skills.

 

It is essential that you have a commitment to maintaining high standards of care, are able to act responsibly and work on your own initiative, and that you have a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, together with a good understanding of the importance of handling the confidential sensitive needs of parents, staff, and children, whilst working within confines of data protection legislation.

 

Finally you will have knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and the Standards produced by Ofsted.
