Nugget
hi all we are having a but if self doubt with our base lining. we are desperately trying not to use the outcomes as a tick list but how do you show if children are just within or well with in a band without marking off statements. how do you all go about baselines? jocrow
Hi, Last September we did highlighting of the statements and did this again at Christmas. I was unhappy with this, as I too wanted to get away from this. So in the Spring and Summer the three teachers meet altogether and discussed each child and placed them within a band on a tracking sheet. Our school uses O-Track as an assessment tracking system. On that it uses Beginning, Developing and Secure for each band. We felt this worked very well and will be doing this from now on. As a team it helped with moderating and it was more of a team effort instead of highlighting on our own. Hope this makes sense!
