Guest Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 We have no free training in our LEA - so we buy in, online or devise it ourselves. I even did the first aid trainers course to save money, but under the new EYFS I had to be approved by my LEA, they wouldn't approve anyone other than the company they used, so I can deliver literally a mile down the road in another LEA but not my own staff until September - absolute joke! The safeguarding training is rubbish and we have to pay between £25 to 35 for that privilege. So I bought the educare packs which I'm going to photocopy for each staff member and then send the answers off and I'll create my own certificates, I also joined the PSLA and they have a fantastic offer with lots of free online courses well worth the £90 membership. Also the NDNA do courses on the EYFS one of which is free and the others are now £24 which is reduced from £40. Quote
