Guest Posted March 15, 2013 Share Posted March 15, 2013 (edited) when i was last in reception a few years ago, we used to let them play and parents could see what they were learning that way. one staff member would stand by the door to take messages/ensure no one followed adult out, and other would use opportunity to say how well they were doing etc and show 'work' . in the summer we would have a group doing 'early work' with one of us, whilst rest played, which was usually writing/letter formation practise etc. something not needing too much input from adult as watching class too x Edited March 15, 2013 by sooty99 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
