Guest
Hi everyone, I haven't been on here for a while as so busy so I am hoping someone may be able to suggest or help me. I will be new to reception in eptember and apart from trying to get my head around the new year group I am really worried about the planning. My school usually plan from the FSPs and these won't be available until after the Autumn term starts. Has anyone started their MTPs yet that I could have a look at or can give me an idea of how to go about it. Thank you
Susan
The FSP should be you assessment tool, not your planning tool--although you may need some regard to it to plan your next steps re the missing attainment of your cohort. You should be planning from the framework, the development statements and Goals and using the children's interests to move them on.
Guest
Yes I agree with you but then I'm not in charge although I have already said this! At the moment I am using the New framework and the statements to attempt some kind of planning for September but I bet I will be frowned on. Do you know where there is actually something that says definately we should plan from the statements?
