Guest
Hi On our registration it says provides care in the following areas, main hall, library area, classroom with kitchenette, early year's classroom, adjacent playgrounds and associated facilities (Early Years Register, compulsory part of the Childcare Register, voluntary part of the Childcare Register What are the associated facilities? School has got building works ie new windows being done and they need to do the classroom we are based in. Ok as we can use the hall. Now a teacher wants us to move out of the hall one night so she can do extra curricular/after school drama and for us to use her classroom. Im not happy as this is not on our registration (unless you think it is?) and think it may affect insurance? To be honest this is causing us a right headache as the school cant understand why we just can move into any room they want us to go in. I have tried to explain as a committee our legal stand on this but i think they just think I am being awkward. What do you think?
Guest
I'm pretty sure that if it's just for one session you are fine. Ofsted appreciate that occasionally these circumstances happen and it's not a different building so there should be no problem. If you really want to be sure you could give them a ring, but for one session there should be no problem with this.
