Guest Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 (edited) On a recent ECAT cluster meeting it was mentioned that there are links between good early language skills and GCSE results. I don't think we were given any official references (certainly I can't find anything in my notes). Does anyone have any information about research to back this up? I'd like to point out these links (if it's 'official'!) to the parents. Edited November 30, 2011 by Guest Quote
Jenimouse Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I don't know where the official research comes from, but this is often quoted by Jean Gross, Communications Champion, saying that vocabulary at 5 a powerful predictor of GCSE achievement. Quote
