Summer Holidays Themed Lesson

I have an interview and have to prepare a 30 minute lesson which may not be finished with a summer holiday theme!

 

Any great inspiration?

Travel on a magic carpet - what can you see, get off and explore lands, whatever children can'see' from carpet. Possibly a bit risky if you don't know them, mine love this and it lasts ages.

Draw where you have been (mundane?), wite out a ticket - 'come with me on my carpet to...' - shared writing, guided writing, key words, phonemes - Spain, Blackpool, 'beech', just thinking as I type... make a hat for holidays to keep sun off, again mine are always making hats from all sorts of things they find in creative area, a postcard from where they were, write a postcard to mum and dad...
