Guest
Dear All I am going to be doing a one off session of 45 mins for a group of about 12 three and four years olds which is fun and interactive but gives lots of ideas for parents to use at home to extend learning. Parents will be attending too but sitting back. After this I will probably run a course for five or six different sessions. Ideas I have so far for my one off are: Rhythm and Rhyme - having a song prop bag, instrument bag and then using different materials to songs such as tapping sticks, bean bags, scarves and the parachute etc. Then making their own shakers. Other ideas I have had are : a playdough workshop using different materials, words to describe etc. Also a mark making one However I am keen to hear about other great songs with simple actions plus ways of extending or using at home and also other ideas for the sessions I will run going forward which will benefit the children aswell as the parents work with them at home. Hope I have made this clear enough. Thanks in advance for your time Edited May 22, 2011 by Guest

Guest
Thanks Andrea for your reply, that sounds interesting, how do you do it.... or do u you just have the shapes in a bag and they choose and have to name them or match them to a card? Any other suggestions for other sessions I could do would be gratefully recieved Thanks
