Enabling Supporting & Managing Children's Care & Learning

HI, to all who are doing the Foundation Stage Degree.

 

I have just be given my next assignment. Module 4 Enabling, Supporting and Managing Children's Care and Learning in the Workplace. Could any of you share your book recommendations or any interesting sites I should be looking at.

 

Any information to get me started would be appreciated. I am not back to Uni until Mid Feb to discuss this module with the tutors, and I would like to get a head start.

Two books I would recommend for this unit would be

Developing Early Years Practice - Miller, Cable and Devereux, (its an open university book and very good)

 

Planning Childrens Play and Learning - Jane Drake both books available on Amazon.

 

there is a good article on assessment for learning/ planning next steps in this months EYE magazine also.
