Susan
I wouldnt try anything that you havent done before game wise as you will be using and applying new knowledge that you have just taught! Which games/ activities do you already do that your children enjoy and respond well to?
Guest
Hi,Was hoping for some interesting ideas for phase 3 letters and sounds activty for an observation next week! First proper observation as an NQT and its the SIP! Also having a guided write after L AND S. Hi, Firstly I am sure you will do a wonderful job! We do a couple of games that the children pick up v.quickly and really enjoy, (you may already do them) one of them is called 'word wheel' where we have a circle on IWB split into 8 sections and each section has either a HFW or sound learnt previously (if revist and review) or words with the new sound in to practice. We roll the electronic dice, children count dots (so NLC objective too) and move the counter on the board, then we have a score board next to it with boys and girls, and children put up hand to read word/sound and get mark for correct answer, then total up who's won after 5/10 goes, lots of competitive fun. (can also be differentiated well in R&R for phase 2) We also do a noughts and crosses game, which is the same format boys vs girls and they have to read 3 in a row. Hope that may help! Look forward to seeing anyone elses ideas! Emie
