Planning Child Initiated

Hello you lovely FSF people!

 

Really eager to find a good proforma to record child initited learning.

 

Anyone with any good suggestions?

we just use the same observation sheets as we do for long obs or for small incidental we use post it's

Going to work on one tonight will add to thread if any good, or may just add it anyway!!

Like Sue the same sheet as for all others or the qucik post it. I don't really think it is the sheet that matters but what you do with the information afterwards!

I work in a Preschool and my weekly planning sheet is colour coded, Pink for Child initiated, Blue for Adult initiated and Green if it is a bit of both. If anything changes I just annotate the sheet, cross activities out if children ask for a speciific/ alternative activity or learning experience or add the initials of children who enjoyed or benifited from a particular activity/experience.

I also have a weekly sheet for staff to write on this is to inform me of activities that would benifit or be enjoyed by their key children taken from weekly observations, this then informs future planning.
