Guest
Soooooooo excited!! Fairly good snow coverage this morning - were able to make a mini snowman complete with hat, scarf, gloves and straw hat. Took pictures of the children working together to collect snow, build and decorate. Made lots of observations of what children said etc. But mostly we had FUN! Over snack we discussed names: Emily, Lucy, Frosty and Snowy were suggested so we had a vote. Snowy won, pleasing the child who suggested it no end. Even though it poured down this afternoon, the rain didn't melt him/her, and he/she was still standing proud when we left at 3pm. So I can stop moaning now about the lack of snow! Note to self: must find something else to moan about... Maz
Jackie A.
Whereabouts in Berkshire are you? I'm in central Reading and although we had quite a heavy snowfall first thing this morning, it had all melted by the time we got outside to play. Very disappointing! Guest
Maidenhead - only 20 minutes away! We didn't have much snow, but it was just enough! I'm afraid one little girl's predictions that we were building "the biggest snowman in the world" didn't quite come to fruition, but we did have fun. Sorry you weren't so blessed, Jackie!! Guest
My grandson made a snowman, 4 days later he was headless, the next day I said to Ben, Your snowman's getting smaller, what's happened? He said " He's not a snow man now, he's an Iceman", quite observational for a 3 yr old, don't you think? ( Nan's are allowed to boast, just a bit) One of my staff's children told me she has a snowball that's 2 (yrs old), yes, 2 yrs ago she put a snowball in a tub ( dated) and put it in the freezer where it will live for many years to come, what a great idea. Geraldine how big is your snowman now? Blues Brothers fan by any chance? Peggy
