Good Phonics Ict Program?

Recommended Posts

Please help! We use cued articulation to teach phonics from phase two and most aspects of this work brilliantly. However, for visual learners it can be a bit dry and we have been using Education City to support our teaching. The school can no longer afford the site license and we are looking for another ICT phonics program that is really good. We don't want to invest money in something that is not so good. Any suggestions?

I have used Big Cat Phonics on the IWB for a few years now and find the children enjoy the lessons which revise previous taught phonemes teach a new phoneme blend/segment and either read or write a sentence plus "fast words"

I am also looking - don't suppose anyone knows of any free resources?

'Letters_and_sounds' website has some good stuff and is free

Hi,

We use "Big Cat phonics" as well and the children love it, to the point that they are now acting it out during independent activity time with one child holding up a whiteboard on which they write out the phonemes.

Thank you!

All the suggestions were really useful. I do love this site.
