Started to reply and got cut off in my prime! :oxD Hope I manage this time. Think about libraries, toy libraries, parents, specialists (such as speech therapist, health visitor). What can you obtain from these sorts of places to help develop the children's language skills. Think about children who may have more than one language and those with communication difficulties as well as children who have no difficulties.

When your doing written work for the PCs you should be thinking about your own practice. Think of a time you may have shared humourous stories, rhymes or nonsense verse with the children. Give some examples - did you get the children joining in with you, perhaps making up silly rhymes of your own? Last year my children loved row row row your boat (there was a long thread on it a while back!) and when we sung it we often made up our own verses. In fact haven't done that for ages - thanks for the reminder! :D
