Glue To Stick Wood And Plastic

Does anyone know is there a glue that is safe to use with children that will stick wood to plastic?

Undiluted Marvin works very well

I buy Bostik wood glue for reparing things, it has no smell and washes off easily, so I think it would be ok under careful supervision..........or what about a cold melt glue gun?.........and copydex is pretty good, but PVA might work, if the items aren't too heavy?
