Guest
Hi, We are developing a "Problem Solving Area" in nursery to engage children in thinking for themselves and trying out different ways to solve problems. I was wondering if anyone out there has done something similar, or has any good ideas or knows any good resources. We are learning as we go along. Problem solving is part of our FS culture but we haven't approached it so systematically before. Thanks! Ruth x

Ruth x Hi Ruth, can you get hold of a copy of 'A Place to Learn' - Developing a stimulating learning environment published by Lewisham Early Years? Your advisor probably can get hold of a copy (it has been given to all settings who have had an ECERS audit in our area). It has loads of information about what you would/could expect to find in the 5 areas of learning + photos and lists of resources. Min
