Guided Writing Question..

How often do you do guided writing in your reception class. Also what would you do on a very first guided writing session with Reception. many thanks

We tended to do one focus guided write every 2 to 3 weeks... but not until the late Spring Term or early summer term as the children are able to use their phonics confidently etc.

Other writing we would do would include writing speech bubbles as a class for story characters and picture books...modelling writing to the children.
