Guest
Hi everyone. I'm New to this. I am being observed soon and and in knowledge & understanding we are looking at maps. We are planning a treasure hunt using a map. Any ideas of independent activity? Thank you
Guest
Hi there, welcome to the forum! Do you have reception children? Is it child led activities for all areas you are after? You could bury treasure in the sand pit and get them to sort it out. Make their own maps...my children loved doing this. I also had small world play of a pirate ship with treasure, threading beads or pasta to make jewellery. Hope this is helpful, I will keep thinking! Guest
Thank you for the quick reply. I would with special needs children there some great ideas. I was thinking of some of them. The pasta threading is a great idea. I just wanted some independent activities around the room that they are able to get on with. As we are finding buried treasure using a map for the main focus.
