emmajess Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 With it leading up to Fathers' day we're talking about our families - we're doing a 'Thank you for caring for me' card - have got lots of different kinds of families in my class. This year I have a little girl whose dad died at the beginning of this school year so i want to be especially sensitive about this subject - wondered if anyone had any good book recommendations about families all being so different etc? I'm sure I've read / got some but my brain is completely FRAZZLED! So any help would be great! Or other ideas for dicussing this topic in the most sensitive possible way. (Obviously have done so before with mums and dads separated etc but felt I needed something epecially sensitive this year.) Thank you!
Guest Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Hi, Try Letterbox Library, they stock books about families, feelings, festivals, inclusion, bereavement etc and bi-lingual story books. the service is good too and the prices are competative. Hope this helps.

emmajess Posted June 16, 2009 Author Posted June 16, 2009 Thanks Ednaloy - what a great website - rosyposy, how did you manage to stop at £74.00? What great self-restraint! If I'd started, I couldn't have stopped!
