Guest
Any ideas for something a bit different for my reception trip. Trying to avoid the farm, zoo sort of thing and went to a local museum earlier in the year. Fancying a change but nothing is coming to me!! We are in Derbyshire and happy to travel an hour or so. Guest
I would help but live a bit too far away to know what's local being in the South! We had a struggle this year as we wanted something that would be really memorable for the children.
Guest
Hi I know you said you had already done a local museum but how about Snibston Discovery Park, I have never been myself but our holiday club have been and apparently it was really good and very hands on. Very reasonably priced too I think. Here's a link: http://www.leics.gov.uk/index/community/museums/snibston.htm Or how about Conkers: http://www.visitconkers.com/index.html
Guest
What about the park and gardens at Chatsworth? Not too far for you and, if I remember rightly, there is a play area there too. We went to Dunham Park last year which is not too far for us and took the parachute, beanbags and balls etc. We fed the ducks, watched the deer and had a play and lunch there. We had a lovely time. Lorna
What is your focus or children's real interest at the moment? Could you use this as a basis for your trip... not local so can't give you ideas of places.
