Guest Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 Hi, next year it is highly likely that my school will be changing the FS to a FS unit, and I will be running it, with probably 2 nursery nurses and 2 classroom assistants - can I expect more money!!!!!!!????????
Magenta Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 We are now running as a FS Unit, I run it with 2 level 4 Assistants who help with paperwork etc, and 3 level 2 TAs. I have been given and extra responsibility point - now have 2. Not sure whether the extra work is worth it though!!! You should certainly have more pay if you are in charge of more chn and staff on your own! How many children will your Unit cater for? What will your facilities be like?
Guest Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 I think there will be about 38 children altogether, and we are altering the two classrooms to form one unit.
Magenta Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 Sounds like a good ratio Chris! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, though we certainly don't have all of the answers yet!!! We're finding it a bit noisy with so many children, we have a lot more than you will have!!
Sue R Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 Magenta - Do you really mean level 4? That's equiv of at least undergrad!! Please elucidate here, I might have to downgrade to cleaner!! Sue
Magenta Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 Yes Sue, they are level 4's, bear in mind that they are taking on an enormous responsibility, I am currently the only teacher so their support is invaluable. (We currently have 72 children working in 3 rooms)
