Guest Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Hi I wonderif anyonehas any ideas they have used in the past for the topic winter, for water planning. Iwas wondering about polar bears and penguins an adding icecubes. As anyone else got any other ideas for the topic winter for water planning? Does anone know where i could get a plastic igloo from and some eskimos without paying too much. Any ideas would be welcome thanks xx 0258
aliamch Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Pet shops sell plastic igloos for various small animals to sleep in and they're quite cheap, not sure if any are white though. Karrie

Guest Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Made igloos with those dome shaped yoghurt pots, scrubbed off the writing and used premanent marker to draw ice blocks on. Looked ok.
green hippo Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 What about using polystyrene piece as floating ice in the water - children can investigate how many penguins/polar bears can fit on before it sinks or tips? Could you make igloos from papier mache - cover half a balloon? Green hippo x
Guest Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Here's a song about polar bears; 50 years on an iceberg over the ocean wide (move hands in a wavy motion) nothing to wear but pyjamas (touch, shoulders and knees) nothing to do but slide (move hands in a sliding motion and go weeeeee) nothing to eat but snowballs (pretend to be eating) they're awfully hard to bite you have to cuddle a polar bear to keep you warm at night (either hug yourself or hug the person next to you) lovely!!!!
Guest Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I just bought cheap mixing bowls cut a doorway out and covered with wadding. Made great igloos and were still intack at the end of the project
