SJW
Will be covering a Countries topic in November/December. Any great activity ideas? Plus any good indoor/outdoor roleplay areas. Thx SJ
Guest
We have had an explorer's role play area outside for the past three weeks and the children have loved it. There is a large map of the world that is fixed to the wall with smaller maps (some purchased/some made) which would link with Countries nicely. Resources include; Tent covered in camouflage netting, grass mat (greengrocers display grass), camouflage fold away chairs, binoculars, telescopes, campfire (trivet from a microwave with ring of stones around and fire is scrunched up sugar paper/cellophane), pencils (look like small branches off a tree), camouflage hats. We have covered the area in a large tarpaulin with netting hanging down at the back into which we placed snakes, monkey etc. Well you get the idea!
