Guest
Hi all, again!!! After finding out yesterday that I might not be eligible for funding to do the degree (I started yesterday) my boss has suggested going to the governors and seeing what they think about funding coming from within our own setting. My need here guys is this........ I need a list of all the reasons why this degree would be beneficial to our nursery (which is half private and half LA funded) and maybe even to the school as a whole. I can't seem to think straight. Too many ups and downs these past two days.................. Please help me focus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
beth1
I need a list of all the reasons why this degree would be beneficial to our nursery (which is half private and half LA funded) and maybe even to the school as a whole. These are just my intiatal thoughts: 1) To have an degree qualified practitoner running the half private side equivlent to a teacher i.e. EYPS. 2) High quality provision contiues after the funded sessions. 3) The practitioner will gain more indepth knowladge of child development, management side (coming from what I have learn't about in my degree). I can't think of anything else, anyway other may have a better way of saying this information than me. Beth
Lou
Hi Continuous development for both you and the setting. Future proofing qualifications in the setting. Up-to-date specific early years training. I know there is so much more but my brain is a little slow today

Guest
Thanks Peggy!!! Obviously that is a strong reason for me to get on and do the course now but to the "lay person" I wanted to be able to let them know what it would mean to get EYPS besides holding onto my job! Thanks for the help!
