Guest Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Hi All I would be grateful of any suggestions or experiences please. Our primary school is about to interview for a "Leader", of our after school club. I have questions in mind but would be grateful of any that other people have used to fill a similar vacancy. Thanks
Guest Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Experience with children. Age range of experience. Any previous "leading" What they perceive afterschool to be all about Any special interests to bring to afterschool ie cooking or gardening
Guest Wolfie Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 If there's going to be a large age range at the club, how are the going to make sure that the needs of the oldest and youngest are met effectively - a big challenge!
Guest Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Make sure you know a bit about the extended schools core offer etc.
Guest Wolfie Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Have a look at the Welfare requirements in the EYFS as well - even though some of the children won't be covered by this, it will give you some ideas about what the leader needs to be aware of.
