Susan Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Hi Lola, you need to look at the Ros Bailey books and things like Listening Lola and Beat Baby--all available via lawrence education.
Shiny Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 There a some examples on letters and sounds DVD phase one. Sue Palmer and Ros Bailey's book 'Foundations Of Literacy' has a section dedicated to listening skills. 3rd edition due out end of July. HERE
Guest Wolfie Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 I agree with Shiny, there are some lovely listening activities in Letters and Sounds Phase 1.
Jo A Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 My favourite are "Listening stones" big colourful marbles or stones and the children put them to their ear and then say what they can hear ie birds, cars....
