Guest
I know this has probably been covered umpteen times, but can teachers use a topic approach in nursery classes? I realise that the children are supposed to lead the planning, but is it a good idea to have a vague topic as a fall back plan if things don't go right, or just as something to base provision on? I dont know if it's the student in my clinging on to what ive been taught at Uni - what do you do? xx
emmajess
There has been loads of discussion on here recently about planning from children's interests, learning walls, ditching topics, etc - have you done a search? If you read through these threads, especially the huge one on kearning walls, I'm sure it'll give you a really good place to start your thinking about this!
